In July BBC Radio 4 debuted my 2 new productions under the series title Black and Blue about profiling and the police in black communities in America.
I adapted Hands Up from a stage production that is touring the USA – the work of The New Black Fest. Director Keith Josef Adkins. The radio version is a docu drama. 6 young black writers reflect on what happened to Michael Brown in Ferguson Missouri and Black Lives Matter.
String Music by George Pelecanos is from a wonderful story that embodies the best of this writer who was a lead scriptwriter for The Wire. Nick Pelecanos stars in his acting debut.
